I just want a little feedback. I flew from one coast the other escape an abusive relationship. now that I'm staying with my brother, it's terrible. he did alot for me paying my airfare but i did not know he was such a bible thumper til i got here. He's also a closet drunkard. He feels drinking is a sin and has tons of guilt over it and seems to take it out on me. i left a narcissist and my brother seems to have some of the same traits. He's constantly gaslighting me, twisting words, getting offended over anything, and always judging me for stupid shit like eating at 4am. I don't know about you, but all this stuff doesnt seem very christian-like. Im about to explode. Im so tired of being forced to defend myself over nonsensical bullshit. Someone tell me, wtf is his problem? Guilt?

I'm not sure, but it sounds toxic and not conducive to healing. When you are able you need to move to somewhere less toxic, even if it's soneobe advertising a room or looking for a roommate. I would genuinely thank him for the help he has given but let him know that you can handle it on your own from now.

Rather sure his religion is a part of his larger psychological disorder. If possible, I would try to find a life without him.

@misplaced Then ask your brother about healthy food in the bible.
If you have the resources to get your own place I think it’s what you need. Even if you have to advertise for a roommate.
