Is it possible to learn yet not ask questions?

I'm pretty much self educated after HS so to me learning is asking questions.

There are scientists, for example, that believe in religion. Do some people actually go through university learning all they do and not questioning along the way? Is it not asking the pertinent questions? If so why?

Generational ignorance? A person's parents/grand tell them a religion is true and they never question it. Why, because It was told to them by their parents whom they trust? Isn't part of growing up and being an adult being able and willing to question?

Just having stupid thoughts out loud. Feel free to comment.

When going to night school, I had a secret weapon: chewing tobacco. A small pinch perked me up so that I could listen to droll lectures. I'd be flying, and asking questions, while the rest of the class moaned. The knew each answer would set their departure back another 5 minutes. My thought was, I'm paying good money for this shit, so fuck them.

You don't always have to publicise questions. I observe myself that I ask myself questions, inside my head, more often than I ask other people. I then start looking for answers by myself. I usually know where to look. No one else needs to get involved in this case.
Talking of religious people, it's not that they don't ask questions about their religions; they do ask questions and try to reconcile with their religious beliefs. For example, there are gay Muslims in England, believe it or not, and they allow themselves to be gay as a result of reconciling with the Qur'an. Kinda convenient, I know, but I guess religious interpretation is so personal and subjective that it's up to individual believers how they wish to embrace their beliefs and practice.

@Garban A good question. You'll have to ask them. If they say they've come to terms with their reality, like being gay, by successfuly reconciling with their god/s, I guess there is no reason why I should doubt them. Again, it's all personal and subjective, isn't it?

"I hated you at first," a graduate school classmate said in the womens restroom. "Later I realized you are nice. You are so pretty and are always the first to raise your hand. You ask such intelligent questions."

I felt shocked. Why did she hate me because I asked questions in class?

"There are no stupid questions," brilliant, kind professors said.

Asking questions shows an active mind.

people asking questions about what matters to them, which is in their view horizon. you can live happily with GOD/religion and never ever think about it, why, simply because it works well for you. same for the rest of the topics.
usually a baker won't ask any question about quantum physics. 🙂

@darren316 as I said it's kinda up to the view horizon; beyond a targeted education system, you can have so many questions about different topics and it's mostly about your personality and what you get involved in life. some ppl are curious and hungry to learn by their own nature.
