Well, before Eve there was Lilith. As the story goes, Lilith was to independent, so god cast her out of the garden and then stoel a rib from Adam to make Eve, and supposedly because she was made from a part of him they got along better.

It is my understnding that the Lilith story may have been dropped because it gave women the idea that they could be independent of men instead of subservient. However, I also heard that she ws the original devikl. The war in heaven story and Lucifer being cat down to earth was originally a Zoroastrian story, as was hell beign a place of fire and brimstone, , which was adopted by the Hebrews (Jews) after the Zoroastrians conquered them.

I have also heard tht Adam and Eve and the garden of Eden is an allegory for the innocence of childhood, as it was common in ancient times for children to run around naked, and only started to wear clohtes when they reach puberty. Since girls on average phusically mature faster than boys, that is why Eve was the one who at the fruit form teh tree of knowledge first.

In any case, clothing was not universally a part of every culture. The Aborigines in Australia say tht clothing was the worst curse Europeanas brought to them.

so god thought that Adam was lonely so why not just make another man as vs something new a woman as vs another Man to keep him company? Probably still be in the Garden of Eden LOL
