I have several that came in on their own along with some other invasives. I dig them up & plant them in containers. I don't permit them to seed & that is how I can control their spread.

Some plants are terribly invasive, and many people/homeowners don’t know how to control them so they don’t choke out native plants. That’s why these organizations end up doing this sort of thing. I’m like you, I pot them so they are more easily controlled.
I understand the reasoning, but still hate it when plants get banned.
