Morning patrol. Our mailbox habitat is blossoming furiously this year. We went from winter directly to summer as far as temperature. And we're way ahead of normal total rainfall. This garden gets the most hours of sun, and is the warmest due to concrete and flagstone.

I haven't looked up Penstemon plant yet, but I can see it's not shaped like an unopened umbrella now. Thanks for the photos. My yuccas bloomed during 5 days of rain, so all the blooms fell off. Some years are different.

Same here with the yuccas. We planted two. Now there's 4 out there. I'll dig at least one of the new ones up for my new neighbor's mailbox garden.

Posted by KateOahuI saw some pretty flowers on a walk today. I’d never seen a white Hibiscus before. And I do not know what the pink flowers are.
