Bee Hotel update. This is the final configuration of the freestanding box and frame. The top of the box is 4 feet off the ground. So the bee hotel will be a consistent height to stuff like Daisy Fleebane and Queen Anne's Lace. I've designed it so we can easily move it around and store it inside in the winter. Had to cease construction due to squalls moving in..... stay tuned.
will you rent by the hour, night or week?
Hey, this is a family oriented hotel.
Is this a four section hotel?
I'm not sure yet. I'm building it on instinct.
@bigpawbullets Looks like you have three more grooved places for supports. Just wondering.
@AstralSmoke
I'm building this entire thing from scrap. The two bases are the remains of a deck railing. The two posts holding up the box are two of seven that were attached in those grooves. The grooved bases will be pretty well hidden by vegetation when I place it in the garden.
@bigpawbullets Nice. Using repurposed wood definitely requires you to be more 'flexible'.

Posted by KateOahuI saw some pretty flowers on a walk today. I’d never seen a white Hibiscus before. And I do not know what the pink flowers are.
