I'm tempted to build a bat house and install it on the side of my house to help control the mosquitoes and other biting insects near me. Bonus: Since bats only hunt at night, they would never mess with any bees since bees only forage during the day
Now........ you've done it.
A bat house...... A BAT HOUSE!!!!
Looks great! Good location. Looks very sculptural.
A. You're not an old man. And B. It isn't silly in the least. Garden gnomes are silly, cute but useless. You did something good for the environment and I thank you. It has been fascinating to watch the process. Can't wait to see your visitors!
You know....... if we don't get any bees......
I'll go buy some plastic ones and fake a picture.
@bigpawbullets That sounds like something I’d do!
LOL, With all my morning trips to the garden, I more than welcomed you building the bee hotel, Now build something else, Cause it looks like I still have more trips to the garden. Please.
We should be neighbors Ken.
@bigpawbullets I agree we should.
Thank you. If it's good for pollinators it's good for all of us.
You're most welcome.
I'm trying to keep my tiny part of the planet going.
Posted by ZsterI live in a very hard clay soil area and routinely time my ground work around softening rains.
Posted by LorajayMany of my shrubs look like they may not make it after our 12 days of extreme freezing weather but my Chinese quince is prettier than it's ever been. Perhaps it would prefer a colder climate.
