Beautiful!

This summer, the only vegetables I am growing our tomatoes. I planted them late, but hopefully within the next month or so I will have plenty of ripe tomatoes from my eight tomato plants.

Do you (or any other group members) have a recipe for tomato juice and/or vegetable juice?

Mike!
Our are eaten, or rendered down into sauce.
I've been told you can simply run them through a blender.. I guess skinning them first.

@kenriley

Thanks. I will try that.

What no purple or yellow ones? That is a lot of ripe tomatoes to harvest in one day by the standards around here where you are lucky get 6 a dozen in a season.

I'm actually a pretty poor gardener. Tomatoes grow like weeds here.

@bigpawbullets Ok, I have seen pictures of your garden.

But, Issie....It's closed now. Guess you'll have to come live with me. Unfortunately there's no George here. But we could rename the dog : )

Lovely. But didn't your dad teach you to pull the green stems off when you're picking? I thought it was odd but it keeps the stem from punching holes in the other tomatoes when you're picking.
And if you cut into a potato while digging them cut on through it, rub the cut ends in the dirt and they will heal over and not rot. Dad was a hell of a gardener.

Posted by KateOahuI saw some pretty flowers on a walk today. I’d never seen a white Hibiscus before. And I do not know what the pink flowers are.
