Went to Lowes yesterday in a rainstorm. Just picking up some tapestry hanging rods and electrical conduit. Right. I was wandering through the marked down plants and found this Japanese Maple. Planter full of water.. but heck! It'll fit in my outback! Right?

Tree update:
With an assist from the Mighty Linda, the "Jap" is close to where it's going to be planted. I may start digging after I mow the back yard. We'll see.

Ours almost died from the flooding I raised it out of the ground and planted in a huge tire. I think it will make a comeback. I hope it comes back anyway. Be careful where you plant it they don’t like wet feet.

It's going in our front entrance garden. Should be fine.

Hopefully. Needs pruning. I went out a few minutes ago to stake out the location and dimensions for the hole. Naturally. I'll be moving a rather large ornamental boulder.

And let that be a lesson to one and all about the dangers of "oh I will just look" at the garden center. ? I truly hope it grows well for you!!

Thank you Donna. I'll post a pic after a dig that HUGE hole for it

@bigpawbullets getting the hole right is always an issue. Good luck!

Posted by KateOahuI saw some pretty flowers on a walk today. I’d never seen a white Hibiscus before. And I do not know what the pink flowers are.
