My loropetalum is in full bloom! I am still learning when things bloom here, especially things I have not grown before. ? [m.facebook.com]

They aren't native to my area. 😟

I am just proud I finally know how to spell it! ?
One view close up, and a second with a little perspective, showing that the shrubs have been repeatedly pruned back to keep then from overwhelming the little house and blocking the windows.

Beautiful plant wish I could grow them here, every so often it is just too cold. PS. You spell it with an "I" and the a "T".

@Fernapple I spell it just as it is spelled. Had to look it up. ?

Gorgeous! When I moved from Indiana to Texas back in the 80's I remember having to learn how to grow things down here since the climate was so different and was so excited that I could have roses almost year round.

OH, me too! Only for me, I had learned to garden in the mild, English-like climate of the Puget Sound area of Washington state, then moved to the Gulf South. Huge adjustment in many ways, certainly including gardening. I don't like Kale or Okra or Eggplant, which seem to be what everyone can grow down here, lol.

@MikeInBatonRouge I'm with you on Okra, LOL but I do like Kale and Eggplant.

@Redheadedgammy congrats? ?

You'll find that if you track on the calendar when each plant blooms this year, it will give you a better idea when to fertilize for best blooms next year. That looks good.

If you see an "at FEMA Camp" tag, that is an error. I thought I got rid of it, lol

Posted by KateOahuI saw some pretty flowers on a walk today. I’d never seen a white Hibiscus before. And I do not know what the pink flowers are.
