I've started on my patio and plantings. Still have plants to buy and plant but this is what I'm starting with. I can't cover the water meter lids so it's small but it's enough for me and a guest. I'm going to trim it with red pavers.
The big pot beside the chairs will have a Lady of Shallot rose as soon as it arrives. They are a large heirloom rose in pink and orange. On the door side of the chairs I want a cactus garden in a large flat terracotta pot. The place around the splash block will have river pebbles for drainage.
On the other side of the door will be the coleus (it's there but not potted yet) and some other plants with the birdbath. I haven't yet decided of I want a small water feature here or not. TBD. I will also add some snapdragons but probably in planters hanging on the plant hooks.
Such fun! I love planting snapsdragons with Mimulas and another, tiny one whose name escapes me. The all look like various sized snapdragon, and it quite a show.
Looks like it will be a lovely spot to sit and have a nice chat with friends while enjoying your garden...your plan sounds ambitious and wonderful! A little of everything you love! Snapdragons...not that is a wonderful old fashioned plant...I have some that came up with seed...can't wait to see the transformation!
@NoPlanetB I loved to pinch their little faces to make them open their mouths...ha
Sounds like you have it figured out, now to get it done right? Please post pics when you're done, I'd love to see the transformation.
@NoPlanetB I love time lapsed installments of life....that takes patience also....good job increasing beauty and life in your home spaces....do you plan any edibles for harvest ??

Posted by KateOahuI saw some pretty flowers on a walk today. I’d never seen a white Hibiscus before. And I do not know what the pink flowers are.
