These are not my garden but the parking lot of the nearby St Georges Village Botanical Gardens on St Croix, USVI. I don't know what the tall plant with huge leaves is. A pretty Hibiscus variety. End of the season of the flambouyant blossoms but still magnificent. The Baobab fell over ten years ago and was 'stood up' and has easily doubled in size, the flowers are also not as fresh as last month. A lily-pond in an old 'copper' or sugar boiling vat.

I believe the first one is a type of fig, not very good to eat for people but the monkeys in Belize loved them.

@Allamanda If it is what I think it is, they get huge.40-50 ft spread.

@Allamanda I have seen lots of gardens where they will intentionally put in a plant that will never mature in the spoit is in, but have a plan for transplanting elsewhere in the garden or offsite or sold for planting offsite.

Posted by KateOahuI saw some pretty flowers on a walk today. I’d never seen a white Hibiscus before. And I do not know what the pink flowers are.
