First few tomatoes of this years crop and plenty more to come - no idea what varieties as I was given various plants, but they are so much tastier than shop bought

The best tomatoes I ever ate I bought at a road side stand in Leamington Ontario...they were grown on a farm, most production went to Hunt's catsup plant nearby...

They look delicious!!

they are very tasty

They look like Big Boy. That was my favorite. Not really large but a nice shape, not as prone to spotting as some others and imo the best tasting ones.

I make tomato soup regularly through the year - my local grocer knows to phone me whenever tomatoes or other fruit and veg start softening and gone past their best - I buy them cheap (he would have to throw them away) and make soup, chutneys, etc...... I eat cheap , but tasty

Those look so good... Sometimes I'll check multiple produce stands for ripe tomatoes and if I find one I'll buy a few and eat them right out of the bag on the way home...

Nothing better than freshly picked tomato!

have already looked up a tomato chutney recipe for next month - I will not be able to eat everything ripening on these plants

@Allamanda please do share .... unless it is a secret

@Allamanda Hugs and thanks

@Allamanda just the thought of the ingredients in that tells me I should ask if you could possibly send the recipe my way as well?

Posted by KateOahuI saw some pretty flowers on a walk today. I’d never seen a white Hibiscus before. And I do not know what the pink flowers are.
