Holy moly, such beautiful little buggers! I hope a few do make it through this year.
luckily they are a native species and I have quite literally tons of food for them, it just frustrates me to no end with the indescriminate spraying that kills, not just the mosquitoes, but nearly every other flying insect. They are a food source for most of the little critter that make my yard home too, geckos, anoles, and brown scale lizards that I like and the wasps that i don't really like but tolerate. I'm going to be planting fennel for the swallowtails this fall. I broadcast seed it under my shade shrubs,
