Is that pink heather, the Australian version?

Such fun to see what you get over there! Every time I've visited my daughter in NZ I SO wanted to visit a Garden Center, but baby needs and schedules were too much for that. Next visit I'll just get myself there!

NZ is about 2500klms or is it miles away and several very different climates. From photos however NZ is a very beautiful country with some very interesting flora.

@FrayedBear Yes, it is lovely, very much like my home Pacific Northwest, but different flora. I have only lived & gardened here, so it's a kick to see other regions, and have been to E/NE Australia and was fascinated with the native plants there.

@tinkercreek Queensland? About 1300 miles or more from me.

@FrayedBear Primarily NSW, in/around Sydney with some ventures inland, then upcoast to about Brisbane. Actually, my daughter & family are on holiday now at Gold Coast, with some extended family nearby.

@tinkercreek I'm in Western Victoria about a 1000 klms from Sydney. It's not far if you say it quickly and choose an interesting different route each time.

@FrayedBear Haha, yes I was just mapping you and viewing some wanders nearby, would have loved the time to venture further south and see the area. Are you a native son there?

@tinkercreek No just lived here a lot longer than the average Australian.

Posted by KateOahuI saw some pretty flowers on a walk today. I’d never seen a white Hibiscus before. And I do not know what the pink flowers are.

Posted by 1patriotOne of the main reasons for last year’s ‘spike’, which the media and government agencies have avoided mentioning, is the Hunga Tonga volcano eruption two years ago.
