I just love Passion Flowers, they remind me of some fantasy easy-bake oven creation! We had a "lizard town", bank of summer skinks (?) and salamanders in the ponds of the farm we lived on when I was about age 5-7, magical years wandering the forests. I always love seeing any little lizards when I travel!

I( was suprised that the three bees stayed on that one flower for about 15 minutes, I feel the same way about lizzards and skinks and salamanders. I've got quite a few different ones in my yard.

Love those passiflora. That chame is cute too.

He was the reason I went in to get my camera, I had to take about 10 pics because of reflection off the pole.

They are passion vine

@glennlab I have had that variety. I believe they are edible.

@JackPedigo Yes they are, my problem is that I am at the northern end of their range the fruit is about an inch across with only a few seeds, but very tasty

Mine are growing well, just no flowers yet. I lost one to the rabbits though.😢

Glad to hear it, The hardy ones might still bloom this year, if not next year should be good.

@glennlab I was hoping to see them bloom this year because I likely won't be here next year.😢I'm putting the house on the market as soon as the probate is finished as I can't afford to live here by myself. I appreciate you sending me the clippings so I could plant them.😉

@Redheadedgammy So sorry to hear about you having to move, I don't think there is anything I hate more than moving.

@glennlab yeah, it's no fun. I've been going through my stuff and either selling, giving away or donating things so I don't have to pack them. My son just bought a 5 bedroom house so I'm probably going to stay there for a bit and then see what kind of deal I can find on an RV. Hopefully I'll be able to pay cash so I won't have a big loan to pay back. Time will tell where I finally end up.

Great pics!

We have seen more lizards around our yard in recent years. We have little geckos and a larger variety that may be 6 or 7 inches including their long tails. Your passion flowers are beautiful. I tried growing tbem, but I think my soil is too hard in the summer.

They are native to this area, so the first year is about the only time you have to really take care of them after that it is normally Katie bar the door. I'm on the escarpment in Oak Cliff, so I probably have worse soil than you.

Posted by KateOahuI saw some pretty flowers on a walk today. I’d never seen a white Hibiscus before. And I do not know what the pink flowers are.
