Global warming. Roses here in Baton Rouge are typically done blooming between the start of November and Christmas. They get pruned in early February and start producing flower buds again by the end of March.
Here we are in Mid-January, and my garden looks a little different. Granted, this is no spring flush, but still...

My roses are leafed out, winter flowers are popping, and my blue star bulbs are up about 4", typical for March/April!ll

Mine are blooming too. The plants don’t know if it’s spring or winter!!!

I don't have any flowers (yet) but everything has buds & leaves are popping up...... temps are suppose to drop - lows in 20s highs in the 30s/40s this week.....

I was surprised my first year here in Texas , the road center strips have roses blooming for Christmas .

It is supposed to dip to 31 fahrenheit early early tomorrow morning. I will be tucking in my confused dahlias and hydrangea, and the baby lettuce and bringing the potted stuff indoors. Everything else should be fine I hope. We actually have not had a clear freeze since early November. Crazy.
