The rhododendron below the Arbor vitae cerebelli ( Lebensbaum) is very happy this season. I have been fertilizing it with coffee grounds, which I saved every morning. It acidifies the soil and loosens the consistency. The next bush to get that treament is the hydrengea in the middle of the lawn. I need to drink more coffee!
We put compost baskets into the soil in the community garden where people can put their used coffee grounds!
Lovely! I always put my coffee grounds on my garden to "improve the soil". I have no idea what that means.
