What was your biggest fight with a Significant Other? How did it get resolved? Did you learn something from it?

Got a broken leg out of the fight. I should have done what daddy taught me to do. "She who hesitates is lost". Strike first. Resolution? I control the money. He is still a doctor enabled opioid addict.

Lack of communication, lack of understanding of how we change as we age , and the fact we lived our lives for others ,was what caused some big fights. unfortunately our lack of seeing what was really going on, and didn't allow us to resolve the issues. A nasty divorce ensued but I am happy with what I have learned from it . I have bonded with my three kids even more, especially my youngest daughter. I’ve met a great woman and have started living for me .

My first wife was/is Bi-polar. I didn't know what that was for a long time and arguments usually stemmed from her having one of her 'episodes'. After her father suddenly died things took another step in that she started having affairs (with married men). It got resolved by her leaving me with another man and moving half-way around the world. The problem was was that she took our daughter and this messed up her mind. Of course she still blames me for this (not directly but my daughter has told me she tells her daughter - wifes grand daughter - lies about what happened). Pretty sad. In the end It was a breath of fresh air and I realized how lucky I was to get out of that mess and it cost me next to nothing.

In the past I had these more often and more frequently. They got resolved when I calmed down enough to discuss the situation rationally. I always learn something from these types of things. If you don't learn from your mistakes you are doomed to repeat them.

Today I have a much better command of the English language, I am much more in touch with my feelings, and I can express myself very well concerning all things. Most importantly I am able to discuss things without getting angry at my partner or making them feel self conscious about the topic. These traits make conflict resolution so much easier. I doubt I will ever have another fight with a significant other. Disagreements will get resolved before they reach fight level.

No fights at all.. He does what I want .. He's very nice

@FlippantLlama I like peace lol
Not too quirky either ...

The question is do you do what he wants? It should be a give and take relationship.

@JackPedigo it is a give and take relationship... I give the orders, he takes them...

@Cutiebeauty Oh I see he has been well trained. We used to have a name for that and it was called "...whipped". These days that is much better than women being "....whipped" ). I just like to call it being 'domesticated'.
