How's this for a "That Sucks" topic: Home destroyed in NorCal Camp Fire on November 8; insurance settlement drained by in-laws via wife by February; wife and son eroded by Stockholm Syndrome by April; and, made Persona Non Grata and removed from home and family at gunpoint in May. Now I am in a safe place where they cannot find me. And why did this happen? RELIGION and GREED! As far as trust and intimacy goes, after living in a 31-year con job, how do I recover from that?

Things usually happen for a reason ,usually not initially apparent but from what you have said the reason is quite apparent,Take it a s a positive sign ,that it was to end you misery even though in a hard way,,but maybe thats why so you would not go back but so you could move forward to a whole new fresh life what you always dreamt about and now your inner thoughts are turning into reality and leave the past behind ,do not worry about them Karma will take care of it,,you just look straight ahead and associate with positive people to help and support you on your journey

It's not easy, but I believe it's possible. I was part of a dangerous cult for 30 years, estranged from my family due to my actions based on my beliefs, buried my my son when it could have been prevented if I had not been trusting prayer etc....I am a survivor. You can be too....

Thank you for the encouraging words. Right now I am living in a safe house so I can get healthy again. However, I still feel isolated from civilization; I know it will take time to heal, but it still hurts nevertheless. Here's a tune that helps.
