Because I had never seen the old one, I watch both that and and the new one yesterday.
As usual, the books were better.
@MsKathleen sorry to hear that you didn't care for them, although they did win a Hugo Award and a Nebula Award so somebody must have enjoyed them.
@MsKathleen I felt the same, but imagination is always better than cinematography, if one has an imagination.
@MsKathleen are you still in Michigan or are you back in AZ? Either way I would want to stock up on some DVD movies.
@SnowyOwl Have been back in AZ since the first week in September. Perfect weather here right now. Iβve recently subscribed to HBOMax, so should have access to lots of movies. Looking forward to the new Will Smith movie coming out on the 18th. Being able to see a new release at home, instead of going to the theater where all the unvaccinated are, is wonderful. Before the pandemic, I almost never saw movies or television, but Iβve become quite the flat screen watcher in the last 18 months. It doesnβt really help the loneliness or lack of physical contact, but one can only read so many books. My grandson is visiting for 7 more days, so we are keeping busy.
