Broken healthcare system in the good old USA
It's extremely unfair . The drug dealer who just got seven bulets in a deal went wrong situation and he comes to ED near dead , will receive top of the top services from neurosurgery , Ortho , cardiothorasic , cardiology , name it ! He will stay at private room and nurses will cater like no other while family members will be rude and ridiculous .
His non insuranance behind will receive placement later AND even drugs and devices to take home ..
same goes for the drunks who fell and present to ED w a wonderful brain injury , and let me not mention the paidophiles and the rest of the trash from prisons .
But the hard working average joe who tries to pay bills and has insurance , he will receive no preventive care for free and when in need for care , he will receive the lowest cost options and the Shitiest options ! And a big bill to get home with him to cry over it for few years !
I am not saying not treating everyone in need . But man , let average joe have access for a SMALL fee . Average joe IS the USA .
@Pralina1 yah. As a therapist most of my clients have Medicaid, which almost always covers all of their sessions. Those with private insurance through their jobs almost always have huge deductibles and copays....The answer seems obvious, join the rest of the developed countries and go to a Universal Healthcare system...
really old joke.believe me.Im old and this has been around forever.not bad tho
