I lived in Philly for years. Jersey was the boonies!

@phxbillcee Jersey near Philly is the boonies. I was born and raised in Soprano country, about 30 minutes from NYC.

@phxbillcee No swamps where I was. I had to move to Florida to get swamps.
@KKGator Jersey was where you went to the shore, & hated to drive through! (Jersey Turnpike sucked!) I even got to the point I went to the shore in Delaware or Maryland to avoid that cesspool!
@KKGator I admit, it's not Florida, but just barely! I bet there are a shitload of "Jersey Man" stories out there!
@phxbillcee Which is one reason why I escaped when I was 19. I only go back to visit my aunt, and the last time that happened was 12 years ago. It's not my favorite place. If it were, I'd still live there. LOL

I do happy happy ho ho.. that usually shuts them up or they just give me a weird grin.

Hey, that's fine, as long as it's not mandatory!
After wishing my waitress happy holidays yesterday, she told me, "We can say Merry Christmas here."
She wasn't snarky about it, in fact she said it like she was letting me know I was "safe". I know she didn't mean any harm or offense by it but it still irritated me.
