As a child, forced to attend vacation bible school (VBS) I asked about the same question. My teachers crossed their arms and glared at me instead of giving me an answer.

In high school I was openly agnostic while continuing to attend church. The most awful fight I had with my mother was when I told her I was agnostic. There were many more life experiences that led me to where i am today, but now I sleep like god during the holocaust.

The hippocracy was astounding...all the "Good Christians" who would knife you in the back and crush anyone who got in their way...and keep crying out "PRAISE GOD"..."JESUS SAVES"..."JESUS LOVES THE LITTLE CHILDREN"...right...and the media wants to call out "FAKE NEWS" for Global warming...Evolution...truth...sorry but your "MAKE BELIEVE DEITY" makes NO SENSE...except for a TAX WRITE OFF.

We're fortunate we made it the fuck out.
EVERYDAY IS AN ATHEIST HOLIDAY...
and that's one of the things we have to celebrate on those holidays.
After a point, I was crossing my arms during church service and glaring. They had a banner over the pulpit that said "God is love."
They didn't have a Q&A season.
