@Jetty Mocking or making fun of any group who holds lesser power in society isn't funny. It's bullying. It is the 'jokes' that make more serious offenses more acceptable. Like discrimination, assault and murder. It all starts with 'it's just a joke'.
@Jetty Even if you were just knocking yourself, I'd say the same thing. Saying it yourself makes it more likely that someone with malicious intent will use the old 'but it's oke when they say it' line. I know I'm preachy. There is so little that I can do about all the selfish or mean spirited things in the world. Calling it out when I see something that can lead to harm is one of the few things I can do. Including putting my job in jeopardy more than once for calling out racism, or homophobia, or just plain bullying the meek at work.
