Because drinking fake wine can be very detrimental to your health. I personally prefer wine with NFC identification because it cannot be counterfeited. I recommend you read about vinid technology, they use NFC so no one can tamper with their wine. It is very interesting actually. I think it should be on every product that can be tampered with. Especially alcohol.

I make my own, so I'm not really worried about it
Most of those make sense except the merlot. I'd have expected that read to go with either the Cab or a bold, jammy red blend or bourbon-barrel-aged red.
