Mine too!
I never set my A/C that low! It would never stop, but the difference between inside & out would be nuts! I do know some that do this, but they tend to be the same ones that set their heat to 86 in the winter!
@phxbillcee I sleep best when it is cold in the room. In the winter the overnight low in my room gets down into the 50s.

I hardly ever use my window AC, never really need it here unless it so stinkin humid, you feel like your face is going to slide off when you walk outside, then ya, the ac goes on.
