So much for our 'Judeo-Christian' country. Not long ago this country had a big problem with anti-Sematism. When did that change; perhaps when we sided with Israel against the Moslems.

"Only a good guy with a gun can stop a bad guy with a gun", is what the gun-rights people claim. But that sets up a narrative with a false dichotomy.
No one is all good nor all bad. Typically, a good guy gets a gun and shoots responsibly. Then, for whatever reason, he goes off the deep end and starts shooting irresponsibly.
