This is a lengthy article in the Scientific American written on October 1, 2017, but it is well worth the read. Over 30 studies have been conducted showing more guns are linked to more crime, not the other way around as conservatives would have you believe.

This is want the gun companies and NRA want to stop from getting out. Their position is totally untenable and they know it. Besides one doesn't have to work at NASA to see this.

I once saw a study that showed that if one has a gun at home and it is known that one's chances of getting broken into are increased. A gun registered to another is one thing that thieves most value.
