"Goddess Worship"

While I have a couple of hours to kill I thought I'd also shamelessly support this group: "Real Agnostics"

Much thanks to @Fibonacci1618 for creating this group who describes it in the intro as where real agnostics meet - Despite being named agnostic.com, this site is filled with folks who aren't really agnostic. If agnostics had a national motto, it's likely be, "Frack, I dunno....and I doubt you do either." It's ok to be ignorant, some might say it's cool

That being said, and I'll have MUCH more to say on the subject later, I "worship" a lot of stuff but foremost are the lovely ladies who grace my arts in so many ways!

Do I see them as deities? By most definitions, no but I do have a very special reverence for those women who join me on my fantastical, often mythological, journeys in 'this realm' to as close to those I've created as possible, often becoming integral parts of them.

No, such flights of fancy are hardly welcome on this site but this is me and, to differing degrees, them.

If you are among those who'd want to see more of my art and/or share your own I'll also plug my ADULTS ONLY "Tales from the Last Inn"

I have NEVER heard an agnostic say "It's ok to be ignorant, some might say it's cool." I have heard the opposite many times. Most agnostics, including myself, are extremely dedicated to education, knowledge, evidence, and truth-seeking. It is when compelling evidence cannot be produced that agnostics declare that, in such a case, we must maintain that we simply don't know. Now if you want to talk about ignorance-worshipers, let's talk about theists who maintain that all you need is blind faith and nothing else.

@DangerDave
Ok, but those who claim to know that there is no god/gods are not agnostic, but hard atheists, and there are very few of them. Most atheists will tell you that they simply hold the position that there is no god because they see no credible reason to hold such a belief. They simply reject belief in a divine being. Thus, they are atheist, or anti-theist, in that they reject theism or theistic claims. Some even call themselves agnostic atheists because they admit they cannot know for certain that there no god...but then again they cannot be absolutely certain that there aren't leprechauns either. They usually put both beliefs on the same level, or even claim it would be more sensible to believe in leprechauns than to believe in god.
I agree that it is not logical to claim absolute certainty there is no god, only that one is convinced that there is no god. Agnostics, on the other hand, will generally be more open to the option that a god, of some sort, may exist. But, they will usually also maintain that the worship of an unknown, and probably undefinable, possible god is somewhere between senseless and absurd.

Posted by Fibonacci1618Saw this, loved it, thought I'd share it..... In truth, I don't like the minority vs Euro Saxon depiction, but the larger point I thought was worth sharing.
