The left wing radicals are the number one threat, a lot more so than Christain nationalism.

Here is my response... Patriotism has no religion, that's fine. However, there is nothing Patriotic about trashing the President or any attempt to tarnish him or any legit elected official. The only dark period we are living is the rhetoric spewed by this Andrew whoever. Gee..... will this stuff ever get old????

IamNobody Level 8 June 18, 2019

Right, at the end of the day he is President of the United States and there are millions of Americans across the country who voted for him. Demonizing and narrowly defining people who support the president is unpatriotic.

Also, Andrew here is selling a book and doing speaking engagements right now focusing on "Christian Nationalism," so he has dug himself into spewing this jargon.

For the record, the only mainstream US atheist organization that has ever taken the time to communicate with Republican Atheists is United Coalition of Reason, which unfortunately has since gone under the wing of Secular Coalition for America and is practically defunct. Other atheist organizations will continue the Christian Republican Party mantra while not responding to Republican Atheists, and continue to act as though there are no atheist Republicans. Their foundation is built upon vilifying the Republican Party, so of course they will ignore the existence of atheist Republicans.

There is no response from anyone included in this post.

Not for nothin', but there isn't anyone within the gop, and especially within the 45 2020 campaign, who is smart enough to go up against Andrew L. Seidel.
It doesn't matter if they think they are, they aren't.
He wins consistently against the believers and the republicans. Which, despite the existence of "republican athiests", have become virtually synonymous.

At this point, most republicans, particularly their fearless leader, have turned their backs on the rule of law.
As long as any republican claims to support 45, they are supporting lawlessness and abject treason.
People should be supporting the Constitution. Not someone who's been wiping his ass with it since day one of his "administration".

KKGator Level 9 June 18, 2019

Seidel is trying to sell a book. $$$ is #1.

@repubatheists So what if he is?
Doesn't make him wrong.
Not to mention, his activity is consistent.
He's been going after those who violate the Constitution, for years.
The last few years, the republicans have been keeping the FFRF busy AF.
The party has been hijacked by christians.
The christians continually insist that this is a "christian nation", when it most definitely is not.

@KKGator Point is, I have contacted FFRF multiple times introducing Republican Atheists and have never received a response. Seidel is pushing the "Christian" Republican Party agenda to suit whatever his mission is, and ignoring Republican Atheists. I can understand he wants the GOP to continue to be religious since he has built a foundation on this principle, and now with a book under his belt that makes him even more entrenched in demonizing the GOP.

@repubatheists Wow. Feeling persecuted are we?
Face it. There is NO room in the gop for atheists. I made the effort with my local gop party, to no avail. They don't want atheists, period.
Don't blame the FFRF and Seidel for the limitations put on you by your own party.
In all candor, to many people, the term "republican atheist" is an oxymoron.

The gop do a fantastic job of demonizing themselves. There is no need to blame anyone else for that. No matter how easy it is.

@KKGator Just because your effort failed doesn't mean your experience justifies damning the GOP for eternity. Republican Atheists is the first organization to represent atheist Republicans across the United States. We have a growing social media following and currently have 18 correspondents across the country. I have been in contact with Republican groups from local level to county level, to college groups. Some people, including many atheists, just want the GOP to stay Christian to continue their agenda, that is why they do not take interest in connecting with Republican Atheists.

@repubatheists No different than republicans
Insisting that democrats are all liberal socialists, coming for their guns, and having open borders.
Seriously, do you not see the hypocrisy in the republican party ?
As much as they like to revere Saint Ronnie, Reagan couldn't get elected dog-catcher by the republicans now.
The party has gone off the deep end.
The gop has damned itself.
They let the christians hijack the party.
A handful of atheists aren't going to save it.
But hey, have fun tilting at those windmills.

@KKGator Based on how you communicate online, I can only imagine why your GOP group didn't take interest in you. Did you show up demanding no prayer be said?

@repubatheists No. Actually, I did not say a word. I didn't participate either. I sat quietly and waited until they were done.
Same with the Pledge and the anthem.
The first thing I was asked was where I went to church.
Then, who I voted for.
I gave respectful, honest answers.
Your assumptions belie your refusal to accept reality.
Instead of accepting the truth about the party, you choose to assert that it simply HAD to have been my fault.

Btw, where do you stand on McConnell's abject refusals to do anything but carry 45's water?
Additionally, what about the conflicts regarding his wife, and her deep connections to the Chinese?
Does influence peddling even bother the republicans anymore, or have you all become so numb because of all 45's wrong doing, that you don't even recognize blatant violations from his Cabinet secretaries anymore?

@KKGator Well, that's a shame you had a poor experience.

In regards to "saving" the Republican Party, that is not the point of Republican Atheists. The point is to simply represent atheist Republicans.

@repubatheists Do you plan on answering my questions about McConnell and his wife?

@KKGator I have not studied McConnell. I focus on many issues involving general society, such as immigration, education, national security, police, foreign events, etc.

@repubatheists McConnell is the Senate majority leader. He's directly involved with ALL those issues.
He's the chief obstructionist in Congress.
He refuses to advance most bi-partisan legislation. He's there to do the business of the People.
You'd be well-served to "study" him, and find out just how much money he's made from his wife's family, and the amounts of "campaign contributions" he's received from Chinese concerns.
If you're going to work for the party, don't you think you ought to know who is in leadership of your party?
45 isn't the only one in the party holding power.
If you want credibility, educate yourself as to who ALL the players are, and how they effect the issues you're so concerned with.
Do you know who Rep. Will Hurd is?
If you don't, you should.
He's a republican from Texas, and has the largest border district. Might try studying up on him, too.

@KKGator Thank you for the information. In the mean time, do not place so much emphasis on a poor experience you personally had 🙂 I have been in contact with a number of atheists who work with their local Republican groups, and some hold positions.

@repubatheists I'm not putting any "emphasis" on my experience. It's simply indicative of the party, here in the Southeast.
