I am convinced that the difference between a learner who takes to science easily and one who does not is the ability to play. Even before the baby piles cubic bricks one on top of the other and delights in knocking them down again, that child has the potential to be a great scientist. She/he has been gaining experience in handling materials with their properties, and reaching out with experiments on stability & design. Play IS the gateway to life and learning.
The other important ingredient, which will take longer to develop, is responsibly. Responsibility for oneself, for others and ultimately for society. To ensure it one has to engage, know the important factors of learning safely and with resilience.
Once childhood is over how do we get everyone to play responsibly and learn?

IN LIFE, PLAY RESPONSIBLY WITH RESILIENCE.
