What is the best way of teaching patience? A method that worked on you would do. BTW I also like impatient people.

Have a structured plan for you class. make it clear what you're doing each day. I kept an "agenda" posted on a corner of the white-board....that they had to copy at the start of each week. It included HW; and they got bonus points (added to their tests) for turning it in early in the week (+3 for Tuesday, etc).
The more organized and structured your program is...the easier students will settle in to a "patience" mode.

@Robecology Thanks. Is it possible to teach one'self patience? I am the only one in the family who can untangle any sized bunch of string or sort out the Christmas lights at the start of December.
@Mcflewster Good question; I think our parents gave us the gift...it's something that develops through childhood...although the "inspirational posters" and other materials do help.

That's why I say it's a good question; I honestly think that it's just learned...sort of like we learn or don't learn "religion"...it's a family trait to either teach patience...or teach impatience.
