This is just a poem of past experiences. People get broken hearts or spirits and heal. Please don’t read too deeply. I’ve already gotten a private message with a pep talk lol. It’s just a poem
I’m exhausted.
Not from working too hard or lack of sleep. I’m exhausted from people. From the ones who appear so sincere that you destroy the walls you’ve built and expose the darkest parts of your soul.
I’m exhausted.
My heart wants to retreat back into the darkness and my spirit is so tired, worn down and sick from deception…from ill-will, ill-intent…just ill.
I’m exhausted.
I can’t decipher counterfeit from authentic, lies from truth, love from convenience. So use the shears and cut the heart-strings. Keep to myself so my heart stays safe because I’m exhausted
…and I’m done.

naked & alone in our misery
a target of every arrow of despair
that pierces your beating heart
I cannot give you comfort
reassuring airy words
as false as the falsehoods & deceit you endured.
Of course you're tired, & disgusted, wanting to hide
from carrying the heavy weight of your life
as must we all
so buck up before you fuck up
you're not alone
