It has been almost three since Lisa died of a heart attack. I can never replace her and not trying to. I'm not looking for relationship but if the right one came along that would be just too good. Imagine that. She was a feminist and lead our relationship. I respected her more than anything in this world. She treated me very also. Thank you all for letting me join this group.

Welcome

My wife Lynn lost her battle with ovarian cancer on March 7. 2002. I still miss her. But it is better, not good, but better. Welcome to the gang.

Welcome to a group you probably never thought you would belong.

My late partner died from a brain tumor 2 1/2+ years ago. She was alert the whole time and used it to take care of things (donating all her clothes, setting aside many things for an auction to help with a local domestic violence awareness group, meeting with the community and her kids which were scattered over the country and on and on.) I (people) would look at her sitting there with a big smile (she lost her ability to speak) and communicating with her hands and find it hard to imagine she was dying. She also got me and others involved with the Death with Dignity movement.

The part about replacement is very important. No one person can and should replace another. It is not fair to anyone and closes the door to learning and experiencing new things and a new and different person.

I actually feel your pain,my longtime partner ,Sonia, passed away last August, and,I have struggled ever since. Not a day passes that does not bring a painful reminder of this;hopefully, the pain will ease as I find it almost unbearable on most days.

Welcome to the group. It's a great bunch of people who understand completely what you are going through. It sounds like Lisa was an amazing partner and friend. I hope you find your "right one" to share your life with.
