This month, April, is the month last year that I planned the last fishing trip that Richard and I would go on. Our anniversary is April 22nd. As the day gets closer I find that my emotions are raw thinking about how this would have been our 13th anniversary. We were together for 15 years total. I found the beautiful card Richard got for me and my dear friend made a pretty shadow box with the card for me. Richard wrote he was looking forward to another dozen years. Oh how I wish we could have had that extra dozen years. He truly was the love of my life.

I can't spend a lot of time dwelling on them, though; I'd never get anything done. Nice to see someone else indulges in these loving (albeit somewhat heartbreaking) practices. Good to see this.

Richard really was a sweet man, always writing such loving things in every card he ever gave me. I'm so glad my friend was able to display this last card from Richard in such a beautiful way. Very sorry for your loss as well.

Thank you, I have it hanging in my bedroom so I can see it first thing every morning.
My partner Sonia passed 8 months ago,and,I am hopefully beginning to come out of the dark cloud that has enveloped me duri thing this emotion ally turbulent period.

Thank you so much. I to wish I had some more time with him. This has been one of the hardest times of my life. Coming to this site everyday has helped me get through it so much better.
I’m sorry that you hadn’t longer together....life has a way with interfering with our dreams. Try to think only happy thoughts....that’s all the advice I can give, and surround yourself with the friends whom you love. The memories will never die, they will always be in your heart.

How true that statement is, "life has a way with interfering with our dreams". I had 15 wonderful years with him, 12 as his wife. I am trying to think of only the happy thoughts. Thank you for your sweet words.
