We’re off to the top of the world today....well almost ...the mountains of Norway, with Sissel Kyrkjebo singing Climb Every Mountain in Norwegian (Se Over Fjellet). I really believe Sissel has one of the most beautiful voices I have ever heard.

Very good cover, she has a voice!

It’s clear as crystal...I love her voice. There must be something in that Norwegian water...or the Viking genes.

She makes it look effortless hardly opening her mouth.

Oh ha ha...she is obviously not singing it live at the top a mountain....you guys are incredible at nitpicking.

@Marionville ffs Marge I make a compliment & I'm f'ing "nitpicking"?
If she is pretending to be synching to a recording then the video should so. I have never seen her perform before!
You remind me of the twat who suggested that I should have performed poems by walking amongst the audience seated at their individual club tables. He had totally failed to realize that I was performing from scripts contained in an A4 lever arch file which would have had to be carried whilst perambulating.

@FrayedBear I’m sorry if I misinterpreted what you meant...there’s another member of this group who nitpicks everything I post. I shouldn’t have lumped your remarks in with his. My mistake. She is actually a fabulous singer live, and I have posted her many times before singing live in both English and Norwegian. This one is obviously not live, but like most outdoor videos by artists, mimed to her recording. Once again my apologies.

@Marionville Oh golly, could I be that nitpicker? Well my first reaction to the song was different to FB in that I thought Julie Andrews but it's not. And it has not got the magic she gave (no doubt also miming FB). It did end with an enclosed audience. I admit I find these miming weird. In the mid-sixties in England, there were two TV pop programmes Top of the Pops and Ready Steady Go. I always watched the latter with Cathy somebody because the bands played live. Loved watching the Stones on it. McGowan I think her name was.

@rogerbenham You know how good this singer is live because you’ve commented on some of my postings of her before, and in a positive way. All videos which are not shot in the studio are generally mimed or lip synced or dubbed over...especially outside action videos. There is no other way to do them. What I do object to is mimed studio or TV versions, that is completely unacceptable, and is now banned in the UK, and I hope in other countries too, although it was very common in the 60s, 70s and 80s.
