Sea level rise is going to be devastating on many coastal villages.Historically the sea level once was 365 feet lower than today and OI wonder if coastal Norway was ice free or under a mile of ice. I'm reading a rather technical book by Bjorn Kurten but it is all about North America and wildlife during the previous 5 million years. I've just reached first signs of man in Florida sink holes with domestic dogs alongside extinct fauna.

Yes…beautiful night skies when it never really gets dark.
That's so far north my ears would pop and I'd become a hick-sickle two seconds after the sun goes down. Thanks for posting the video so I don't have to go see it myself.

My pleasure. I was supposed to be going there a couple of years ago in the wintertime to see the Northern Lights and visit the Ice Hotel etc,, but due to a family tragedy I had to cancel. I think maybe a summertime visit would be a better idea, but I’d still like to visit sometime.
@Marionville For the Arora Borealis winter would be better. The Ice Hotel might be the puddle Hotel. If I went, I'd go in winter. That's the beauty of me not going.
I'll tell you what, you go there, I'll go to Montreal Quebec in Spring to enjoy Jazz Fest.
@Willow_Wisp I know I won’t see the Aurora Borealis or the Ice Hotel in summer, but they have midsummer solstice celebrations and many music festivals in Norway during summer, and the weather isn’t sub zero!
@Marionville The midsummer solstice sounds fun, if they do it right, you know, with a goat for the sacrifice and all.
@Willow_Wisp You know what these Vikings are like…it could be interesting! 
@Marionville In Yukon and North West Territories, around Equinox is an excellent time to see Auroras.
@rogerbenham Yes…I’m sure will be a similar experience, Norway will be closer for me though.
@Marionville My point being that likely the Auroras are excellent in Norway at that time.
