It’s certainly not a happy song…quite the reverse. I think it has great appeal to the exile .
My feeling was strange. Certainly not enough of the lead guitar to compare with Clapton but no doubt you have more of him. I did not get a story other than he pawned a locket and bought it back.

You didn’t read into it more than that? You’ve no imagination man! Actually the reference to Malcom Jones about the comparison to Clapton is not original but was lifted from a piece by a music industry insider…which I do wholeheartedly happen to agree with.
I love this! Not just the sound, but some of the video footage as well. And I totally agree about Malcolm Jones. Lovely, thank you.
