There’s been a lot of publicity and excitement about the reuniting of ABBA after 40 years, but they weren’t the only successful pop act to come out of Sweden, and sadly there can never be a reuniting for Roxette the pop rock duo of Marie Fredriksson and Per Gessle, which was the other highly successful one in the 80s &90s. Marie Fredriksson sadly lost her long battle with cancer in 2019 aged 61. Here are Roxette with their #1 hit - Joyride.

I really enjoyed that, but how sad to lose her at such a young age. She's so talented and charismatic.

Yes…very sad. She struggled with it for several years, and continued to perform sitting down latterly. .
