An a-ha fan from Israel has made this new version of the iconic and ubiquitous Take On Me, the original video and song of which has now attained the incredible total of 1.4 billion views on YouTube. His name is Amiros and he has called it - Take On Me (Winter Version).
……a fitting tribute in the year the Norwegian supergroup celebrate their 40th anniversary.
This is a sweet tribute.
Yes…I really like it.
Thanks for turning me on to a-ha. Fine band! They were never on my radar back in the time.
That’s very gratifying to know. I’ve loved them ever since I heard their second big hit The Sun Always Shines On TV in 1985…I still get goosebumps every time I hear the first few opening bars. Some music critics now think it’s one of the best pop songs ever written, although it’s sadly always been overshadowed by Take On Me. They are even better live than they are on their recordings, a very rare band in that respect. Here is TSASOTV as the opener to their Oslo concert in December 2010, I have this whole concert on DVD.
@Marionville I absolutely love the videos of a-ha and think they are great, but can imagine that a live performance would be fantastic!!! Someday, hopefully, I’ll see them live.
@Redheadedgammy I hope you do get the chance too Rhonda!
