I’m back home from my weekend trip to Norway..sadly a disappointing one because the a-ha concert on Saturday in Oslo was called off due to Morten Harket developing laryngitis! Anyway since I’m home again I though something closer to home would be an ideal choice for today. The Horslips are an Irish Folk Rock band which was very popular back in the 70s & early 80s…and one of the original members, bass player and vocalist Barry Devlin, was a local boy to here, his family ran the pub about a mile from where I live. King Of The Fairies. - Horslips, 1975.

Interesting. I've never heard Celtic music quite like this before, it's nice. That's too bad about the concert being cancelled, but I hope you did something fun. 🙂

We’d already done some sightseeing…we just went out and had a few drinks to drown our sorrows and a meal on Saturday when we should’ve been at the concert…but that is a costly business in Oslo, it’s the most expensive capital city in the world…..!

I quite like this one.

We've just had a very good long weekend with our son who was here to help us with many things as he usually does twice a year, pre-pandemic that is....so hopefully we can get back to that now with the vaccinations & easing of restrictions. Got the yards cleaned up, lawns mowed, garden prepped for planting, nursery plants purchased, curtains/drapes taken down, washed, & re-hung, some furniture shifted around, & the stove, & fridge pulled out for cleaning behind. All good.

I’m pleased to hear that your son got to visit and help you out.

@Marionville It's been great & he's headed for home shortly.
He also got the portable air conditioner out of storage ready to set up as the weather heats up.
May is always the Victoria birthday weekend here, & next visit will be our Thanksgiving long weekend in October to prep for winter.

I remember this group. Never much of a favourite of mine. A sort of new Age approach to Celtic rock which I never felt succeeded. Golly, the scenery behind them is pretty depressing.

It’s 70s Dublin….would be transformed and look very different if it was today.

Love this one! I’m so happy to know I have Irish roots! I think it explains why I have always loved the Irish music! 😉
