Can't watch the video, but I don't believe it will ever end. I don't believe it had a beginning either, that it has always existed. While I accept the big bang theory is the leading scientific theory, I don't believe it is correct. I believe that the universe is truly infinite, meaning any aspect you can think of, there's an infinite amount beyond our observable universe. Distance, size, age, energy, matter, galaxies, stars, planets, moons, life.. all infinite. The only problem is we can't observe what is beyond our observable universe, so we can only deal with what we can observe, and that's what the big bang deals with.

@hankcalifornia I works now, but I'll be honest, I have a hard time watching YouTube videos on the universe. They tend to have a lot of pseudoscience and sometimes ignore the observations we have made. I'll give it a go at some point, probably when I am supposed to be working..

@hankcalifornia Yeah, wasn't impressed with this video. It started with a misconception about expansion. If we manage to figure out how to travel at the speed of light, we would be able to travel to galaxies outside our galactic neighborhood. If there is a galaxy that we observe to be 5 billion light years away and we calculate its real time distance and figure that its real time distance is 7 billion light years away, if we set out at the speed of light, it would take us about 9 billion light years to reach it due to expansion. We would never be able to travel to anything beyond our observable universe as everything beyond it is already expanding away from us faster than the speed of light though.

If it doesn't and I wanted it to, there probably isn't a great deal I could do about it

@hankcalifornia not a good one to watch on the phone! I don’t worry about this subject (one of the few!) I won’t be here for it. I do like to know things though! I like all the theories out there. One might even be right. I look at what we knew 20 years ago and all the changed minds, and I just look forward to what I will be alive to see.

Of course it will not end.
