I have to share this as it is important for all Australians, a dark secret of the past. It’s a bit long which I find very tedious in others but the content is necessary. I am, probably for the first time on this site deadly serious.
My brother in law recently took an Ancestry.com DNA test. He is in doubt as to his father’s identity. The result came back with nothing to help in that area, but had a match with someone who was either a half sibling or grandchild. This caused great mystery. We considered that he had a child that he didn’t know about. But then the sinister turn. In 1970 he and his partner had a child that died at birth. However, they didn’t see the child, and there was no death certificate, they were more or less waved on their way.
We have recently discovered that between 1950 and 1975, 250,000 babies were put up for adoption from hospitals around the country and sold on. His boy was born in the biggest offending institute in Melbourne.
He had contacted the DNA match lady before any of this came to light and she is most determined to have nothing to do with my brother in law. She has found out what she needed, but my question is this, is she the daughter of my brother-law’s ‘dead’ child? How many others are there out there with the same story?

The only positive for your brother in law is that he knows that his baby was not processed and killed off in medical experiment or satanic ritual.
The probability is that the adoptive parents are religious.
I do not know if their is a statute of limitation on kidnapping and witholding from natural parents.
If it was me if be making complaint to the police and asking for charges to be laid against the shooting parents and agents supposedly affecting the transaction.

Yes, that seems a likely scenario. I doubt he’ll take it to the courts as the evidence is all a bit tentative I would guess from a legal standpoint. We know that is what happened however when you put all the pieces together .
@Geoffrey51 Still worth a shot and it should be the police who do the investigating. I mean if people can accuse priests etc. of being pedos 50 years ago, this rates every bit as seriously in my book if not worse.
@FrayedBear I agree totally. Paedo priests and baby trading midwives! Along with coppers the stalwarts of 60s society. Makes you wonder what else is going to come out of the woodwork from our idealistic Utopia called ‘The 60s’!
@Geoffrey51 I shouldn't laugh cos it could be me. My cases however were NZ orphan late 60's, Medicare 1976, old bloke 2017/8.
I also know that here in Australia the old are frequently financially abused by doctors and hospitals over keeping them in the hospital and deliberately wrongly diagnosing and medicating them for monetary gain. Sadly the Medicare system introduced by Whitlam was based upon discriminatory practice. The same hospital bed and services from day one 1 had 3 different cost structures - the cheapest was the Medicare patient, the next expensive by 10% was the motor accident patient and lastly at a 20% hike on the Medicare cost was the worker's compensation patient.

Serious stuff indeed. I knew a New Zealander who was raised in Christchurch. She got evidence sent to her here when at Melbourne Uni confirming that the NZ government was being paid by British and American pharmaceutical companies to use the orphans as lab rats.
