Sitting minding my own business and debating how long will I put up with the cold before putting the fire on and the phone rang. An unknown NSW number. So I replied to "Good afternoon sir. This is the Nielsen TV ratings survey not some marketing sales promotion."
Me: "Good afternoon to you as well. I do not have a tv and have no intention of having a tv".
"Oh good sir, the survey will only take five minutes."
Me: "No I have told you all that you need to know. Goodbye." Phone call terminated by me.
Besides the fact that the number called is on the Federal Government Do Not Call register my trusty little app belatedly came up and reprted that 332 others had reported it as a scam call. So I made my number block number 333 but should I go to the trouble of finding out how to report the number to the DNC Register people and then dob them in?

Where I will probably be told that this was a survey not a marketing phone call. Weasel talk from government.
