What would Rrepublican Jjehebus do?!?
For the longest time I've refused to capITALIZE deity names, their religions, holiest of holies...all that crap.
Since I've not yet been struck by lightening and RJ hasn't busted a cap in my ass, I'll stop.
I'll show that iota of respect for the nonsense out of an iota of respect for those who believe it in the offhand chance that iota of respect gives me an iota of a chance to show them the light of true enlightenment.
I'll be back...someone is knocking at my door...

i don't see the point in capitalizing anything unless it makes a message more clear.

Capitalizing words is not about respect.
According to secular rules of English, proper nouns (names) and all letters of acronyms are capitalized. I think if you are talking about a generic god, the G is not capitalized. If you are talking about a deity named God, then it is.

@DangerDave Naw. I was the jerk. Your post was funny but I get too serious and technical at times.
I do the same thing as the original poster. I agree with you. Sort of. It isn't about respect. It's about my lack of respect. And petty nature? Started with trump. Extended to my ex wife and god. The only issue for me really is fighting with autocorrect. Once that is defeated? Catharsis.
