Hi again! Back from a frustrating and disappointing trip to CA in search of treatment. Nobody will tell me anything, and no one seems to be in any hurry to help me. So, I was wondering if anyone here had uterine or endometrial cancer? (I can't even find out which one I have) and if so, may I ask how long from diagnosis to surgery, and how many appointments there were? And, if you had insurance, what were your out of pocket expenses? I can't even make the most basic plans. Having a broken wrist so I have to rely on others for transportation and so many other things is adding even more stress. Thanks in advance!

I am truly sorry you are going through this. Do they tell you why they can't determine which type?

I got diagnosed at a charity clinic in Mississippi where the education level tends to be kind of low. The doctor seemed to be trying to dumb things down, even calling it "bad cells" at one point. I didn't have the presence of mind to ask for details after hearing the word cancer. He said it was a slow kind & that if I got a hysterectomy right away I should not need chemo. Then they never sent my records to the doctor in CA so I couldn't ask them either. Since I had to return home to CO the records came but they won't talk to me on the phone. I need to wait till my July 1 appointment in CA. It's a 2 day drive from CO where I now live, to there. Everthing is so hard.

I'm in quite "reduced circumstances" since having to take my 2 kids and leave an unsafe home situation in CA last year. Now I even have to put my divorce on hold because I need his insurance. And that insurance only works in CA.

@Carin Wow! You really need a break! 🤗🤗🤗 I really wish you the best of luck.

@Sticks48 Thanks! My cousin is starting a Go Fund Me--embarrassing but I finally had to agree to it upon learning that I also need some expensive dental work....

@Carin Sometimes we just need a helping hand. There is no shame in that.
