True story, many many years ago when I was dating my wife. My friend Bob was also dating her friend Karen. During this time Karen's grandparents died within weeks of each other (this often happens). The two of them both lived in social housing (council house) and the council asked the family to clear the property within 2 weeks, so they could re-let it. Bob owned a small Ford Escort van, so he got volunteered to move much of the contents. Now as the family all sat round discussing who should get what and why there was one member of the tribe (there is always one) that seemed to think that she was entitled to everything, She was aunt Vera and no matter what it was, she wanted it. At one point of the proceedings, Bob politely asked if he could have the old guys engineering vice that was in the shed, as a reward for all his efforts. Now the thing had been bolted onto its bench for at least 40 years and would take a whole can of WD40, some large spanners and a good deal of muscle to shift it. Nevertheless aunt Vera pipes up with " Your not having that. I want that, its mine " Now Karen (who was never the sharpest tool in the box) turns to Bob and asks " Bob what is a vice " To which Bob replied " Avarice! "
