"Lesser evil" thinking is not going to advance the cause of libertarianism. Libertarians need to support Libertarians. Libertarians need to get involved, run for office, volunteer, perform fundraising, help each other WIN. We need to take ourselves seriously or we can never expect others to take us seriously.

If others do not take us seriously we will never gain any substantial amount of power and influence in the American political landscape. Everything we do we must stay true to our ideals but we must also be cognizant of how our actions affect how the American public sees us.

Voting for others or endorsing candidates from other parties in races where Libertarians are running (thanks a lot, Mr. Weld,) will get us nowhere fast.

Stop it!!

Libertarianism will never gain traction as long as we abandon our own candidates and vote for the lesser of two evils. And your one vote will never decide an election, so why vote for Trump or anyone else you might want to try to "help" to win? It does not make any sense.

Do not abandon Libertarianism. Instead, do everything you can to help it succeed.

Libertarians are supposed to be fiscal conservatives, DT is not. Most libertarians I know are honorable people, DT is an orange stain in the WH. Just the fact that he put his daughter and son in law in the WH (nepotism) should turn off any real libertarian. The fact that he cheated on his first wife with his second wife and his second wife with his third wife and his third wife with a porn star shoud give honerable people pause. But the cult of tRump goes on.

So far it looks like there will be no real democrat challenger. I plan to vote my conscience (LP) from now on.

2 years ago I had some second thoughts, but the democrats made a difficult decision easy. Anything is better than a democrat.
