Hi.
This group is dedicated to Linux, but i would like to suggest that the group focus also include Chrome OS. Increasingly there is greater integration between Chrome OS and Linux, which I think is great. New Chromebooks, including mine, now allow for Linux set up and use. It's still a work in progress, but is a great move, bringing chrome, android and linux in one computer. So, i like to think that posts on any of these would be relevant. I'm interested in any posts on Chromebook experiences and recommendations, including using Linux.

Probably those of us with long memories, small RAM and loyalty to the open source community remember Chrome as Google bloatware.
Even now using an Android phone with 6 Gb of RAM and 256 Gb of storeage, I prefer to use products such as Opera Touch an application 26 Mb in size compared to Chrome's 199 Mb.
Im aware of that, but chrome os is a separate os now in its own right. No need to be snarky.
@David1955 You seem to have missed the point of my comment.
I can now "freely" (advertware) obtain use of the Microsoft Office suite. 30 years of having been exposed to their arrogant greedy con artistry has conditioned me to use other's programs.
